My next-door neighbour, J, got a 6 month-old Yorkshire terrior puppy called Cooper. A lovely bouncy one with greyish black and white coat. The previous owner seemed to have failed to house-train the dog. So, poor J has never stopped mopping up her floor and cleaning her carpets since yesterday.
Glad to see J having a company at home again after her beloved dog Tiny passed away in January. But one thing: the first words she said to me when she got the puppy was,
"Akiko, dog-sitting duty is coming soon again for you!"
Of course I don't mind popping into her house to open the back door for the dog and to feed him in the kitchen while J is out. But has she ever asked if I was available for the duty?? Again, she is behaving like a mother-in-law to me... (I can laugh about this, though.)
Hope the Yorkie isn't like the West Highland terrier next door to me! Constant barking...
ReplyDeleteFortunately or unfortunately, I can hear the owner more than the dog at the moment.
ReplyDeleteTerrier or terror? :-)
ReplyDeleteHaving grown up with Westies and having been a Yorkie owner, I can only say that these are wonderful dogs provided they get the right family...
