Quite many things have been going on here. My front window is broken (which should be replaced in a few days), the post office in the town centre is suddenly closed (which means nobody should expect any packages from me), trying to get more work (which is going better than last year but makes me exhausted), a weekend with my kids' relatives from London (which was nice), worrying about my favourite aunt who just had a big emergency operation, etc.
I don't know how I will survive Christmas this year. I haven't bought **** all for presents except ones for my girls, haven't touched a Christmas card yet, etc. I'm just dreaming of hibernating now and waking up on the first day of spring... (I still want Christmas + Boxing Day dinners, though!)
By the way, recently my girls love speculating about me and any man who I can give jokey remarks to. Their favourite is about me and some of the butchers. (Sorry to disappoint you, but absolutely nothing is going on between us.) And now a new one: me and police officers who came here for the broken window. My girls were very shy and scared of the police, and stayed upstairs while the officers were here. But they heard me and the officers chit-chatting and laughing, and later they told me that they thought that I would go out with one of them!!! My goodness... Well, but, one of the officers looked quite cute, and I wouldn't have minded chatting with him for a little bit longer...
