Went to our dentist's for my big girl's check-up + reduced-priced gum shield. Lucky that soon-to-be-Year-8 kids who live in the Southern Health Board area can get their first gum-shields at only £5 each (usual price at £35). The dentist told me that there's no such discount in the Eastern Board where she lives. My girl chose fluorescent green for hers. Surely she will stand out in the crowd with such a colour showing in the mouth...
After finished everything, I spoke to the receptionist for my check-up appointment. She took my name, mumbling "As usual, he is very busy, so the appointment will be in a few months". Then she clicked something on the computer and guess what? My appointment will be next Wednesday!! Probably there must have been some cancellations, but I had never ever expected to get such an early date for non-emergency cases. There has been nothing but tons of bad reputation for NHS (National Health Service) dental service for these several years. But miracles never cease, indeed.
Heh. I tend to book my next appointment when I leave. Easier taht way.
ReplyDeleteClever girl, Laerke!
ReplyDeleteActually, it's the receptionist who usually ask me if I want to book my next appointment already; she asks everybody that, and I think it's a really good idea.
