This morning, when I connected my computer to the internet, I noticed a broadband icon showed "Speed 7.6Mbps" instead of "2.2Mbps"!!! Nice surprise.
About a year ago, my internet service provider told me on the phone that their customers could expect up to 6Mpsb in my area "in a few days". But nothing happened, and my speed had been always irritating "2.2" since I signed up for their broadband service. So, I wasn't a very happy customer. And I kind of hated myself for agreeing to subscribe for another 12 months when they phoned me about 10 days ago.
Did I notice the difference today? Of course YES!!! My computer itself is not powerful at all, but oh my goodness, the internet speed is much much faster. No more frustration of waiting for the new page to come up properly!!
According to the company's website, the speed is "up to 8Mbps". I wonder if they are working on the remaining 0.4Mbps for me?? (Just being greedy!)
You'll get used to it VERY quickly. We got Fibre to the Home (20 Mbps) two months ago, and in less tahn a week, we were used to it :-)
