Caught a cold yesterday. Probably one from my wee one, but it has been so mild that all I need has been a dose of paracetamol once a day when I felt too tired and weak. Not bad, really.
Thanks to the condition, my brain cannot deal with anything logical. I wanted to practice some translation stuff, but simply could not do anything. No, not because of the symptoms of the cold. It's because I could not think logically and could not concentrate to do anything. Thinking has been impossible. Even a grocery shopping was tough, as I couldn't be sure what I really needed.
Giving up trying to be reasonable, I suddenly decided to fill a tiny wine bottle (just around 250ml) with coloured water and vegetable oil. I have no idea why I though of doing this, but it's fun, you know, shaking the bottle and see the colour mixing and separating. The bottle is now placed on the kitchen window, and whenever I wash dishes, I shake it to see the colours and bubbles changing. It's a work of art, according to my girls. Well, maybe it would be a part of collection in Tate Modern one day. Better than the infamous "messy bed" art, don't you think? At least my girls are impressed.
Probably this is the start of proper insanity...
