My girls went to the town centre all by themselves this afternoon. Actually, this was the very first time that they did it. (They regularly go to nearby corner shops alone, though.) Probably they could have been alright even a year before. But with me and this country's overprotective attitude, they had never gone out to the town centre (10 minute walk from home) without an adult until today.
Glad to know that they had a good time there. They did some shopping as well as window-shopping. And also they came home with a bottle of milk, which they had volunteered to bring home. Good. Oh, and a box of fruit jelly pieces as a present for me.
My wee one confessed to me that she was scared for the first few minutes in the town. But it seems that both of my girls have gained a little confidence. Nice.
