Yeah, Sabbath day for a Buddhist

At lunchtime, phoned D, who took my girls to church this morning, to tell her that my girls would like to go to a children's activity evening at church this evening. She volunteered to pick them up, you see.
She is a very pleasant lady. A kind of typical devoted Christian woman in this country, really. Thought myself being used to communicated with such a person. But was still overwhelmed with her overly-happy reaction. On the phone, she went like "Oh, brilliant!" as if she got a big Christmas present... Very entertaining.

Oh, and little G was pushing her luck this afternoon for saying that she would like to come to the church with my girls this evening... Really hate her way of persuading people. She keeps asking the reasons of every little thing that you mention just to break your determination. Intelligent for her age, indeed. The combination of an innocent sweet smile of 5 year-old's and a brain to talk back endlessly is a deadly weapon. But no, it never works on me. She ain't coming with my girls this evening. Too much fuss, starting with me having to phone D again to beg and make arrangements. Little G should have come to the morning service in the first place. She still doesn't understand that a church is for people who believe in God and Jesus. Not a playhouse, you know.

One more thing. It's been a very nice pleasant day today for a change. Warm, dry and sunny! Have been waiting for this weather so that can cut over-grown lawn at both front and back of my house. Guess what? It's bloody Sunday. So, have to wait for another dry day. Brilliant.
