It was like a prisoner's day out.

Little G's mum is an angel. She phoned yesterday and asked if she could take my girls out in the town with G today. Couldn't believe my luck. How thoughtful she is. She told me that it would give me a little rest. Yes, lone parents support each other, don't we.

So, today, dropped my girl at G's house at 10:30. Then, walked to a supermarket for a little grocery shopping. Lovely that didn't need to keep an eye on my girl while thinking of what to buy. Listening to music with a mp3 player while out. Can't do that when walking with somebody, you know. Then, came home, did some housework and had a lunch in complete silence!! Then, decided to tidy a cupboard behind me (= facing the computer). Found quite a few 2nd-hand books which nobody would read. So, they are waiting for to be either thrown out or sent to a charity shop. Then, brought most of my books to the cupboard. Much tidier and more space now. Then, did more housework without moaning. And baked mini baguettes, which turned out to be quite nice. My girls came home just after 17:30.

Didn't play music at all when at home. Why? Just enjoying being saturated with silence. Feel refreshed, indeed. Thanks a million, M!
