Orangemen's parade in the town

Yes, it's the annual parade for the Orangemen (= members of a Protestant organisation) all over this country. (Plus in several other countries, too. Even in the South.) Strange that the weather has been brilliant since just after midday today. It's been very unstable for several days, you know. God must have been on the Protestants' side today. (Am joking, as usual.)

Yes, the parade was exactly the same as the last year's. After all, it's not a parade for a carnival or for just fun. It is an annual tradition. My girls, little G and I went to see the Orangemen/women doing a coming back parade from the country gathering. Saw several familiar faces that we waved at last year. Oh, one more to add on the list. It was a postman G who delivers letters to my house everyday. Didn't know that he was an Orangeman, and didn't recognise him in a black suit. But he said to me "Hello" when he was marching past us. Nice.

Forgot to bring a camera with me. So, if you'd like to see what the parade look like, click here. Hundreds of the men/women were marching with pipe/accordion/brass/flute bands. Pity that can't let you listen to the sound of Lambeg drums. It's not a kind of sound that you listen with your ears. It's what you feel with your whole body. Really really love it.
