Doing something good for a change

Received a sunny smile from our neighbour this morning when walking my girls to school. His smile is always lovely, so nothing particular wasn't meant surely. But it was a start of a beatiful day.

Then, got caught by an old woman who knew my late parents-in-law on the way home. She talked about an Australian TV drama which she watched a few days ago. Am not interested in this TV drama and don't know why she wanted to tell me about a funny part of the programme. But felt good when noticed her face being brighten up gradually while she was speaking to me.
Later that morning, texted my friend who has had a problem with evil noisy neighbours. Because heard from my neighbour that a woman from the residents' association could bring up an issue about the noise problem at the next meeting. I suggested my friend to call the woman, and she was happy that the woman could be her help.

In the afternoon, my neighbour told me that a bad relationship with neighbouring family was getting better after the woman from the family pleasantly spoke to her out of blue today. Am glad to hear it. The trouble started about a month ago and the family started snubbing my neighbour unreasonably, which broke her heart. Thinking back, since I asked her to phone the family's daughter to find out a thing about the mother, the daughter has started speaking to my neighbour. Then, at last the mother spoke to my neighbour pleasantly.

Later, while cutting the front lawn, a passer-by said to me "Hard work?" Like that kind of greeting very much. It puts a smile on my face and tells my brain to think of something cheeky/funny to talk back to return the friendliness. Nice to see him smiling with the reaction. Better than saying "Hello", you know. Surely have seen him somewhere before. But as usual, can't remember who he was or where he lived. Typical me.

Can't believe that there were quite many nice thing happened to me in one day. Well, hate to see my friend being worried, but at least she will have some support, which am happy about. Yeah, should deserve the lovely smile today. It must have been a reward for "Akiko will be good to people" coming too early.
