Baked strawberry muffins with the blueberry muffin recipe. (I added a few drops of vanilla essesce and omitted cinnamon powder for the topping.) Just wanted to try the strawberry version because my big girls was not fussed about blueberry and because I still can't forget the lovely strawberry scones which were made by an American woman in the neighbouring town.
Never used strawberry for baking. But I'm pleased with the result. My girls told me, "I don't like this, Mummy. I LOVE it!" I love it, too.
Now I'm wondering how I would get rid of 1kg of marzipan which I bought only for 75p at a supermarket. The best-before date on the package is 06-12, so I don't need to use it asap. Maybe I make fruit/cherry cakes with chopped marzipan inside. I'd like to try something I have never done. Any ideas?
I'll most definitely send you a couple of recipes, when I get home!
ReplyDeleteMarzipan's a long time favourite in my family, so I'll find a couple of good recipes and translate to you.
Thanks in advance, Laerke:) The smell of marzipan is one of things which makes me smile. Of course nothing is better than the smell of vanilla, though...
