Usual Saturday Shopping

Went out with both of my girls to the town centre for shopping at lunchtime. Surprisingly they chose decent skirts and tops. Good that they are developing a good taste for clothes. I mean, some kids just go for the trendiest looks, some of which can be too tarty for their ages. Or, some of them have no sense of colour/pattern schemes at all when they choose a top and a bottom. It was a nightmare about a year ago because my girls used to ignore the practicality of clothes.

So pleased with their choices, I bought them sweets for treat. And we popped in a bookshop, looking for price reduction/clearance sale. But no bargains. But ended up getting out of the shop with two paperbacks (Selected Tales by Poe and Little Women) and 1 girls' magazine. Maybe I should have kept the money for next week's continental market...

My big girl picked Little Women. She found the book and said to me, "Mummy, Moe in The Simpsons liked this book". OK, darling, now you enjoy reading it. So, you'll be working in a bar when you become grown up, then.
