Still here

I've been so tired. I woke up at around 6.00-6.30 almost every morning. It must be the heat in bed. (No, I'm too young to start menopause!!)

So pleased to see rain at last! It's been more than 2 weeks since we had decent rain. It rained a bit during the period, but it was kind of spitting a little and soil hardly got wet. I just started thinking that I must be the only unhappy person in this town, moaning about the long fine weather. But it's a relief to see rain again. I feel alive! (Am I a plant??)
Funny that teachers of my wee one's year at school planned to hold a sports day today. They are so good at picking a date for the event. They should have held it yesterday...

A letter arrived from an interpretation/translation service agent in N Ireland. My application for joining their interpretation service has been accepted! Actually I had thought that they had forgot about me, as I applied for it in autumn last year. Nice surprise. The letter doesn't say that I will need a training. Would I be alright? Well, I don't think I would get hardly any work from them, but who knows, it's a very small but first step to get into this language business.

Restarted writing about myself based on a poem by Paul Durcan. It's painful but fun. There's a line "I'm thirty-three years old" in it. So, I'd like to finish writing it by my 34th birthday, which is about... in 3 months.
