Father's Day passed as expected. It was OK. Nobody is happy in this house, but the day passed OK. The next upsetting date on the calendar should be... in November. Not bad.
Read a bit of Gone with the Wind this evening. I knew that Gerald O'Hara was an Irishman, but I must say that I had not expected a mention of "Orangemen" in the novel. I had thought that I would escape from my everyday life when reading this particular book, but I was wrong! It was as bad as the time I found the words "Matsuo Bashou" in a poetry book by an Irishman... Familiar things pop up when least expected. I'd rather not find such things, but they are something to smile about, indeed.
