Relative and blood

Got a letter from my Polish uncle in London this morning. He was married to my hubby's father's sister. So, precisely, the husband of my girls' great aunt. So, not blood-related. Never met him. All we had been doing was sending Christmas cards, but nice to receive a "How are you doing?" letter out of blue. Before getting married, I'd never imagined I would have a Polish relative. Must meet him one day.

Went to give blood just after lunchtime. It was my very first time. Just wanted to be useful for a change and this was an opportunity. Glad that I did it. Felt better than donating some money or second-hand stuff to charity organizations, so I'll do it again the next time I have a chance. I am not allowed to donate blood in Japan. So, people in this country should make use out of me.
