No, not again! Why does the supermarket in the town stop selling certain items when I want them?? It was a bag of buckwheat flour I wanted this morning. I remember having seen some on their shelf before. But surprise, surprise, I couldn't find any. So, no "sobabouro" experiment at home until... I don't know when.
The same happened several times when I wanted rose water, rye flour, sauerkraut and writing icing. (Yes, a half of the contents of my shopping trolley is not the one of the average Northern Irish person's. I like British/Irish cooking, but I don't want to die of boredom by eating the same things again and again and again.) After some months, the missing items are back on the shelves again as if nothing had happened before. So, it wasn't a total surprise, but still I'm not a happy bunny today. Suppose I should try some health food shops in the town tomorrow.
Well, I ended up buying 6 small pudding moulds and a National Geographic magazine to cheer myself up. The supermarket must be hiding my favourite items now and again on purpose so that I would spend extra money on treats for comfort. Life is not too bad when all you moan about is a lack of buckwheat flour, don't you think?
