Hello to my new neighbour!

One of the houses across the street had been stuck with a "to let" sign during this summer. I saw many passers-by stopping in front of the house and taking the letting agent's phone number, though. The landlord is known for being very fussy about his choice of tenants.

But the sign is gone now, and the new tenant is an elderly lady who knows my next-door neighbour. (About my parents' age, actually.) According to my neighbour, the lady used to be a beauty queen of the town or something when she was young, and she is well spoken and proper.

This morning, my next door neighbour knocked my front door, and asked me to get her a news paper later. While we were chatting, the lady came out of the house. She seemed getting ready for moving in.

We said "Hello" to her and chatted with her a bit. As my neighbour had told me before, she is very well spoken and very pleasant (in a nice way). Glad that a nice woman is moving in this street.

By the way, she told me that my next-door neighbour had was telling her about me. Actually, my friend S's sister said exactly the same last month in Kilkeel... Am I secretly well known in this country?
