Gorgeous day today, with the strong sunshine, pleasant breeze and not a single spot of raindrop. After a few days of rains and showers, we deserve this surely. It was so good a day that we had tea in the garden. We didn't plan it. We just shoved a simple version of aloo sag, beef and leek sausages and minted peas on our plates, and went out in the back garden to eat. If the weather is this good on Saturday afternoon/evening, we will have a barbecue while the rest of the town folks watching a football match.
Thanks to this weather, I was a busy bee. Best day for painting the wooden fence + gate in the front garden. They hadn't been painted for 2 years. (It could be 3 years, actually...) So the green paint was fading here and there, and they looked shabby. But I gave them a good coat (2 coats on the gate), and they now look sooooooooooo beautiful again. I don't really understand why many women leave this kind of work to their husbands/boyfriends/partners/brothers/fathers. It's stupidly easy to do, and you don't really need to have any sort of professional skills, you know. Or, am I making loads of enemies (= damsels in distress and their proud knights in shining armours) here for saying this??
