No more nata de coco in the town

As it will be a bank holiday and school will be off on Monday, I decided to work today instead. (Yeah, typing away here, instead of working...) But popped out of the house for an hour to do a bit of grocery shopping in the town with my wee one.

Headed to Asian food shop, but found the shop completely empty, which was a kind of surprise. Some weeks ago, they sold many of the stocks at reduced prices. So, I guess that was the sign of closing the business down? The couple who were running the shop had a cute baby boy. I don't know what their names are, where they live, etc. But I hope that they are doing OK now.

Recently, there are loads of sale items in shops. I picked up a bag of pasta, and 2 boxes of Mr Kipling's cakes at Dunne's today, as they were much cheaper than usual. Even a loaf of bread my neighbour asked me to get was cheaper. Is a start of deflation? I hope that the town folks stop becoming too lazy to walk and shop more often in the town instead of driving to the shopping centre out of the town, if they care about this town.
