Got it!

Yes, I got minced chicken today, and I'm looking forward to some Japanese-style meatballs this evening. The butcher, who took the order on Friday, wasn't in the shop, but there was one who had told me that I could order it. He went into the back of the shop, and packed it into 4 bags (1 pound each) for me. Now one bag is in the fridge, and the rest is in the freezer. I'm like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter...

I was told on Friday that it could cost around £2.50-2.99/lb, but it was only £1.99/lb. No complaining, of course. But it makes me wonder who decided the price in that shop. And I asked about the price for Christmas ham, and was told that it would cost £2.50/lb. To buy one from the butcher's or from Tesco, that is the question. (A quote from HAMlet, of course.)
