Call me Agnieszka

Got a letter from my bank on Saturday, saying there was nothing concerning but a customer adviser wanted to see me. Nothing unusual.

Then, I noticed that the name and address on the top of the letter were mine, but the letter itself started,

"Dear Agnieszka, "

Confused, I visited the bank this morning. Wasn't worried or annoyed. Just curious. It turned out that the advisor had misspelled my name while sorting out the letter.

Everything was sorted fine in her office, and we were chatting about non-financial matters mostly. Guess what I found out? Her mother's birthday is the same as mine! (The years are different, of course!) And her mother had a mix-up about her birth date on the birth registration. Guess what? My mother had the same kind of mix-up when her birth date was registered. So, we were laughing that both of us had mothers who had 2 birthdays each!

And "Akiko" and "Agnieszka". Might as well become a Polish! Actually I like the sound of the name...
