No, not on a black list of any sort. My credit record is very good, you know.
This morning, B, the church elder called and gave me a bagful of vegetables and fruits. (1 leek, 3 eating apples, 2 cooking apples, 2 potatoes, a half each of cabbage and turnip, 3 carrots.) There was a harvest service at church on Sunday, and all the display (= vegetables, fruits, etc.) was taken off this morning. Then, each elder delivered those food stuff to people "on the list" (= a list of those whom the rich should feel pity and sympathy for) in his district.
I've been on the list for nearly 4 years now because of my marital status. (Actually, I'm not a proper member of the church. My girls' father's family were members and somehow they've kept me in their circle without my permission. I am not a Christian, for goodness sake!) I appreciate their kindness, but I wondered how to get out of this list. Well, the easiest way should be remarry, I guess. My goodness, I need to get a man, then!!!
