Happier Saturday

Me and my big girl went to the town centre for window-shopping and grocery shopping. Still no BT broadband yet and I haven't given it up yet. But life goes on, and my mood seems going upwards at long last. While walking back home, my big girl told me that I looked happier than normal Saturdays. So, I thought of reasons and they are as below:
  1. It's been dry for some days in a row, which is a nice surprise. Today, the day started with fog, but it soon cleared. Now it's warm and sunny. Gorgeous day. Nice to be able to spend a whole day in a sleeveless top.
  2. Got The Oxford Book of Modern Science Writing. Yes, I must admit that I am a nerd. No decent science programme on BBC recently, I crave for this kind of books.
  3. Sample sachets of eye creams worked on me!!! But it means my skin needs them... Sigh. But according to my girls, I look prettier. But no man of this town asks me out... Sigh.

  4. Going to cook a dish from an Indonesian cookbook which I borrowed from the town library. The very first time to use coconut milk for cooking.

  5. Had a non-important chat in a shop. Goodness knows the last time we exchanged words other than "Hello", "Can I have 6 pork and leek sausages, please", "Sure", etc. Topic? The weather, of course. Found out that none of us didn't want to be inside the shop on such a lovely day. Maybe I should have asked him to take me to a beach??

  6. Bought a bunch of beetroots at a new green grocer's. All I can think of is a big potful of beetroot + sauerkraut borscht. Bliss.
  7. Quark-apple cake is in the oven at the moment. Some Granny Smiths were lying around in the kitchen for a few days, so I decided to bake our favourite cheesecake-like tray bake.
  8. An Antonio Banderas film will be on TV tonight! Seems that my girls finally realised that he is my type... I will be teased to death tonight. Oh dear...

Now you know how to keep me happy, don't you?
