Bought a yoga DVD for my mother last week. She goes to a gym to attend yoga practise sessions, but sometimes she can't attend due to her job. She uses yoga to maintain her blood pressure level well balanced. So, after hearing her moaning "I couldn't go to yoga class this week...," I found a yoga DVD for relaxing (with many decent reviews), and decided to surprise her by ordering it online and getting it delivered to her house.
Got a phone call from her on Sunday. She got the DVD alright, and tried it. According to her, a Japanese woman instructs everything, but 2 western women make yoga poses on the screen. And those ladies are doing yoga in snow!!! They even put blankets over themselves while meditating... It doesn't sound for relaxing. It sounds more like... extreme yoga!!
But actually this DVD seems good for relaxation. My mother told me that she felt so relaxed that she fell asleep for a few minutes while making one of the poses by following the DVD. It seems that the clean serene snowy scenes does the trick as well as relaxation yoga poses. I must try it at least once when I visit my parents.
Yoga in the snow? Sounds cold... and I think the neighbours would look at me surprised.
ReplyDeleteBut perhaps it does look good on the TV :-)
