Walked the girls (mine and the Latvian sisters next-door) to Little G's birthday party at the leisure centre. (5 min walk from home.) Had planned to go home and enjoy a childless hour, because I felt like crying all day today. But finding lovely sandwiches on the table and welcoming faces of Little G's granny and mum, ended up staying at the party. Oh well.
There were about 20 girls at the party. Yes, all girls, which surprisingly found was rather suffocating and weird. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing bad or wrong with the little girls. They were all fun-loving angels. Maybe because I have never attended all girl school in my life. (Not because I like the sight of men/boys.) The party was lovely. A massive bouncy castle which give adults a bit of freedom and children a good night's sleep (hopefully). Must mention that the cake was not heavy or sickening, but just heaven to eat.
Little G's mum was of course so busy that I couldn't speak to her much. (But she gave me a phone call after the party. Nice friend.) Little G was not over-excited but happy and sweet all the time. Little G's granny looked happy, too.
Walked the 4 girls home. Good that all of them had a good time. Seeing the Latvian sisters went inside their house and we went inside ours. Then, realised that I hadn't spoken to their mother about this party at all. She asked my wee one if her girls could go to the party with my girls. My wee one said "OK" and that was it. The girls came to our door a minute before I was to put a make-up on (so, I went to the party without a make-up, looking like a Halloween party-goer, then...). Well, I don't mind, but feel it strange that the woman next-door hasn't appeared in front of me for these 4-5 days. I'm not that scary, am I...
