Went out for a meal with S in the evening. A birthday treat for my wee one. So, to McDonald's. (Not my choice, of course.) Went to one in the shopping centre out of the town. Nice change. Ended up buying 4 books. (3 cookbooks and 1 quiz book.) All at reduced prices and I spent only £4.
One thing that keeps me wondering. Every time I go into McDonald's in this country, people stare at me. Why? Don't they think that people from Far East go to McDonald's? Or, are they surprised to see an oriental woman speaking English to her children? Or, what else? I'm not a glamour chick or a supermodel, you know. (And I don't think I'm too ugly not to stare at, either...)
I know what they think: Why does a woman, who's obviously from somewhere with a way better national cuisine thn McD, come here to eat this sad excuse for food?
