My wee one got a belated birthday card/letter from Z by post today. It arrived in the morning just before I left for shopping. Very nice drawings were on the envelope and I was sooooooooooooooooo tempted to open it. But I didn't open it because I wanted to live at least a few days more.
At the school gate, told her that a post arrived for her. She asked "From who?" I said "James Bond was on the envelope". Then she quickly figured out it was from Z. Good girl. (No, Z is not Mr Bond. It's a long story.)
Coming back home, she very carefully opened the envelope and found a "Happy Birthday" letter with lovely drawings. (Related to James Bond, of course.) When little G came to play with her, my wee one didn't want to show it because she was afraid of little G dirtying the letter.
I wish the letter was for me... Tough luck.
