Who said "Hello" to me?

On the way home from my girls' school at lunch time, a man overtook me at the end of the bridge, turned his head and say "Hello" to me. I said "Hello" back to him. But I couldn't remember who he was.

I'm still trying to remember who he is. Seen his face somewhere. My wee girl, who was walking home with me, also says that she saw him somewhere but doesn't remember who he is... He is not the shopkeeper near the big church in the town. He is not the man who is a hairdresser's husband and used to walk an Alsatian near the school. He is not the Led Zeppelin fanatic whose children go to the same school as my girls. Is he the man who lives with the Lithuanian girl down the street? I'm not sure. Surely somebody who knew my hubby.

I'm hopeless remembering faces. I had thought it would be easy for me to recognize people in this country because they have various colours of hair and eyes, compared to people in Japan. But I was wrong. Some people looks very similar! Why do so many white-haired grannies have the same hairstyle?? What is worse, many members of families live close to each other in this town and naturally they share loads of similarities in their appearances. Oh, confusing!

Any way, still don't know who the hell the man is. And I'm not sure if I can recognize him the next time I saw him. But a brilliant stuff came through the door yesterday (Millions and billions of thanks to A) and now I'm like a little child left all alone in a sweet shop. So, who cares who he was!
