I'm now in the Chapter 4 of the book one of The Fellowship of the Ring. The prologue of the novel terrified me and made me think whether to give up or continue reading. Well, just exposed with numerous unfamiliar names and trying to understand whatever in the prologue, my brain had crashed like a computer... It was like a year's history lessons crammed in one hour!!! I can't deny that I'm not young any more...
Well, knowing that millions of people had read the book, I kept on reading. And how glad I was that I didn't give up!!! It's a pleasure to read this. The book just sends me to the Middle-earth whenever I open it, and I just wish I did 't need to go back to this part of the world.
This year, mostly I read whatever I was given or whatever I found by chance. I mean, I didn't look for any books or magazines because I had really wanted to read them. But surprisingly all of them are very entertaining. So far, Gone with the Wind and this The Lord of the Rings are deeply thought-provoking, which I like a lot. I do 't think I would have appreciated these as much if I had read them this time last year.
