Cut my girls' hair today. I always do it about a week before school's summer holiday ends.
My big one had been very reluctant because she was proud of her long thick black hair. But how could she keep it in decent condition without my help?? So, I told her that I would cut only 2-3 inches off, but I chopped about 6-8 inches off to the shoulder length. Yeah, I sound cruel but she is happy with the surprise result.
After seeing my big one's new hairstyle, little G came to see my wee one getting her hair cut after tea. My wee one told me "in the middle of my neck" when I asked what length she wanted. The result? Amelie (French film) without fringe. I was expecting a stroppy reaction of "That's too short! Fix it!!!", but the length suited her so well that she was smiling.
While I was using the scissors, I realised that I wouldn't be able to become a hairdresser. I can't cut the way that customers want. And I swear too much during the cutting...
