As my kids gain a new friend, I gain one, too. Exchanged phone numbers with little G's mum and promised that we would have coffee together some time. Lovely. Been a long time since I thought about making friends with somebody in the town, as I'd already got too many friendly chatty acquaintances.
Watched an art programme on Kandinsky's paintings in Tate Modern. My big girl asked me to tape it because she spotted "Tate Modern" on the TV listing. We watched it together this evening. Just an art critic/historian talking about Kandinsky through his paintings. I had never imagined myself liking abstract stuff. But they are beautiful and touch my heart. Even though I didn't like a few, I must admit that I love his paintings. Must revisit Tate Modern the next time we go to London. I need abstract stuff to keep my sanity.
