A typical day during school holiday

After writing about the black cat, I haven't seen his/her... The reason must be that my child and her friend has been playing in the back garden all day. We even put up a tent, and right now they are eating their dinner in the tent. No wonder the kitty's gone.

It has been one tiring day. Got up a bit later than usual because I read in bed for too long last night. (My fault.) Started working at 8:30am, and put up a tent at 9:30. Baked a corn bread quickly, and went back to work. After a quick lunch, more work, then decided to trim the front hedge, which took me more than an hour because I made one hedge (border between our garden and the Polish couple's) level with the hedge along the footpath. I had been wanting to do that for ages, but there were many very thick branches and a normal way of trimming didn't work. But I was really fed up with the even levelled hedges, so I had to use my own strength as well as the power of the electric hedge trimmer. I was chopping the branches off like a lumberjack with an old-fashioned axe. (No wonder nobody asks me for a date.) Anyway, I'm happy with the result, even the arm and shoulder muscles are aching right now. My hedges look the best in the street (for now).

Straight after the hedge cutting, I did a little bit more work. Then, I cooked the dinner, while doing a washing-up and helping my child dry garden toy. (I'm a woman, after all. Multitasking is easy-peasy.) Had the dinner, and here I am in front of the laptop.

After this, I must do some ironing because I had been ignoring the duty for more than a week. (When will I ever learn to do housework properly?) Also have to help my child put away the tent.

Probably I have already forgotten about some of the chores. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. If anybody does not like the state of my house and me, that's their problem.
