I was supposed to be working all morning today, but went out to get a haircut. (Just for an hour. Might as well say that I used up my break time for this... ?)
Anyway, haircut always makes me feel nice and refreshed, and this time was not an exception. I'd had an inverted/angled short bob for just over a year. But this time no more "angled" sides, and the sides are horizontal. It's still a short bob, but now the end of the hair is level with the lips. Quite happy with the result, because I had started being fed up when seeing more and more woman having the same angled sides. (I feel extremely uncomfortable when seeing several people having the same style (clothes, hair, make-up, etc.) as mine. You don't need another Akiko in the same universe, you know.)
When I first tried the angled bob, my girls said "That's Victoria Beckham!" and my big girl once mentioned that my hair reminded her of Erin O'Connor. Then, this time, my wee one said "Oh, it's like Amelie's (minus the fringe)!" But now looking at the mirror, I thought, "Wow, I'm gradually turning into Wakame-chan!" (A girl out of a Japanese TV anime "Sazae-san".) Maybe I'm getting some kind of comedy value, and turning into a big joke instead of improving my appearances...
Now all I have to do is dye the hair red.
