Had a very strange dream last night. (My dreams are always strange, though.)
I was at a butcher's with my wee one, and talking to familiar butchers. One of them asked me about chips, ham and Japanese pears, and he also called me with a nickname that only my parents and old friends use.
Woke up with lots of question marks inside the head. But I can explain why the pear was in the dream. Yesterday my girl asked me about the differences between "ordinary" pears and Japanese pears. And the butcher's. My wee one and I went to the shop to buy some meat and sausages yesterday. So, those pears and butcher's shop didn't appear in the dream out of nowhere.
But how about my nickname?? I don't think that any of the men at the butcher's knows my name, let alone my Japanese nickname, even though I've been their regular customer for many many years. And so, today I kind of had a shiver in the spine in the town, when a familiar figure walked past from behind and said "Hello" to me. It was the butcher who called me with the nickname in the dream!!! He was one of the last people I expect to see today, but I was thinking about the dream. I wonder if he knows my name... Was the dream just a random mixture of my brain's contents, or was it telling me something that I don't even know subconsciously??
Oh, and a chapstick.
I went into a chemist to buy a box of hair-dye yesterday. And I spotted a cherry flavoured chapstick on a shelf and bought one because I needed a lip balm and loved cherry flavoured stuff. Then, my girls laughed when finding the chapstick at home. I couldn't understand why, but they explained that this cherry chapstick appears in Katie Perry's song "I Kissed a Girl". I didn't know. But I must say that this cherry chapstick smells lovely. (No, I haven't kissed a girl yet.)
