Told my big girl that I wouldn't pick up her sister at primary school at 3pm because her sis would be playing football there until 4. It meant that my big girl must come straight home from her secondary school without stopping at her sister's school. (Am I explaining alright??)
Anyway, my big girl came home just after 3pm. And when I opened the front door, she and her new(ish) school friend were standing outside. My girl asked if J, the friend, could come here at 4 to play with her, which was the biggest surprise of the year so far. Of course I knew that she has known J for a few months, J, her twin brother and I say "Hi" to each other in street, and J lives in this neighbourhood. But my big girl inviting her friend to our house after school? Unbelievable. Probably the first time in 4 years. (It was just because none of her friends lived in this area.)
J and my big girl had a nice time together. But one thing. Why do people visit this house out of blue, (or with a very short notice), only when inside the house is extremely messy and just after all the food for snack runs out? Today, I had about 40 minutes to Thanks to this fact, I'm now good at tidying my house at the speed of light... I know, nothing to be proud of, I know.
