It's already Christmas week!!!

Been a long time since I wrote anything on this blog. But yes, I'm still alive and kicking alright.

It's already Christmas time. I mean, the church had carol services today, and Radio1's chart show was playing the "Christmas Number 1 song" today, for example.

This year, I won't need to cook a dinner on Christmas Day because our friend invited us for the dinner! While I was saying "Hooray! No big cooking on the 25th!" a few days ago, my girls asked (or, ordered?) me to cook a roast chicken dinner on the Sunday afternoon. It was so flattering to hear how much they like my roast chicken, I had to get the best chicken in the town and cook a roast dinner.

Now I've started Christmas baking. Whoever I can hand over presents in person on Christmas Eve (= neighbours and friends in the town) will get a box of biscuits and cakes this year. Why? Because one of the neighbours told me very sternly not to buy anything for her and her family for Christmas. (Recently, she moans non-stop about ever-worsening economy too much.) So, I won't "buy" but "make" her a present, instead. (Yes, you should ignore the face that I have to "buy" the ingredients to "make" the presents...) It's definitely easier and less time-consuming to buy boxes of biscuits and sweets. But I love the sweet nutty smell out of the oven during this time of the year. So, if you want to find me until Christmas Day, you know where I am!

PS: I'm not sure if I will write here again by the end of this month. So, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
