First, got a volunteer translating work, which could hopefully be a little first step for my translating career. Didn't expect that I would be able to get a job (even though it's not a paid job) just over a month after seriously starting to learn to be a translator. It makes me more determined to pursue the career further.
Second, little G's granny asked us to bring a letter to her doctor. Of course it's fine because she hadn't been well, and her daughters were on holiday. Am now used to looking after grannies in this neighbourhood.
Then, just before leaving for the doctor's, a parcel from my parents arrived. Actually thought that it would be sent in the beginning of next month, so it was a surprise. Now got 4 books by Kobo Abe, which I really really really want to read right now. But told myself not to touch them until the translation work is done.
Fourth, after coming back from the doctor's, M from the church came. She gave me a bunch of white lilies, which made me stunned. No anniversary or anything among my family, you know. But it seems that the flowers were in the church hall for a while, and M gave some to church members when new flowers arrived. It was very kind of her.
Why did those unexpected things have to happen in one morning??
