A book sale was held at the town library. Yes, they were selling the old library books to the public. There were loads of people - mainly middle-aged men, OAPs and their grandchildren. A few people of my age, too. But not a teenager in sight.
Got 5 book for myself. 3 Irish poetry books, one Irish fairy tale book and a cookery book by a Belfast woman which was published in 1960s. Love reading decent cookbooks published before I was born. So, it was worth going to the library. My girls got 10 books each!! Then, they chose one picture book for little G. How thoughtful.
Guess what? We bought 26 books and paid £9.20! Even though many books are not in a good condition, it was a good bargain, indeed.
