As expected...

Found boxes of model sets inside a wardrobe. Tamiya's plastic model-making sets (samurai/Chushingura themes). Thought that every unwanted item had been chucked out of the house some months ago, but how wrong! It's always like this: feeling great for completing a task and soon finding out there were a few things left to be done.

As there will be a bonfire in this area tomorrow night, kids are calling houses and asking money for Billy Lundy. Yes, it's the Northern Irish version of Guy Fawkes, which is burned with Irish tricolour flags in the bonfires on the 11th of this month every year. Now kids don't look shocked to see my face when seeing me opening the front door. They must be used to my face by now, then. Used to laugh at myself by saying "I don't need no dressing-up/make-up for Halloween. I look weird just by living in this country." Not sure whether to laugh or cry, but can't say that any more.

J, the next-door, was giving kids money, too. Then, she asked me to call her before going out tomorrow morning. Guess what? She wants me to get a loaf of bread for A (the lady with a broken wrist). Thought that J would ask me such a thing very soon. You see, she shows her kindness to people in the neighbourhood, and am the one who gets out of the house and sweats. Well, it's alright. Always go out for newspaper every morning, anyway. It's about time to think of starting a "message service for OAPs" business.
