Borrowed a few books from the library recently. One of them is about Lebanese cooking, which is so practical and looks so good. I wish I could own the book...
Tried lentil soup and aubergine dip today. Happy with the result. Also dressed salad according to some salad recipes from the book. Lovely. I must cook more from the book and write down the recipes. Pleased that one more variety has added to my kitchen.
By the way, I'm still sticking to my New Year's resolution and it clearly does good to my weight! Can't believe that a small change can make my life easier without any struggle. (Hope I didn't say this too soon...)
Middle-Eastern food is yummy!
ReplyDeleteTry Arabic Slice - not that many recipes, but those I've tried have been really delicious!
Thanks for the link, Laerke!
ReplyDeleteI had expected Middle Eastern dishes were much more hot and spicy. But it seems they are fragrant without any super hotness which my girls might scream their heads off with.
I have some minced lamb, which was on special offer at a supermarket last week. So, I must try something out of the book or the website today.
Middle Eastern is what I usually cook for people who finds that Indian or similar is too hot. ME uses a lot of spices, but in a very different way.
ReplyDeleteI love it too!
