Silly men

Partly because I was bored of staying at home all day, I went down to a supermarket for a little unplanned shopping with my big girl. (My wee one was visiting her friends.) The shop was less crowded than expected, but there were much more men than usual. They looked at me as if saying "Oh, I've never seen you before". But the thing was, they were just invading my territory (= the supermarket). I'm sure more than half of them go to the supermarket less than once a month. Strange people.

Afterwards we went out again to give a present to an elderly couple around the corner. Then, on the way back home, I saw 2 Polish men carrying a folding table and chairs home. We came across with them at the gate of his house. So, I said to of them, "Having a party?" Then, the man looked stunned and after 3-4 seconds he said "It's for Christmas dinner". He must have nearly had a heart attack to be talked to by a strange-looking neighbour for the first time. But we (I, he and his wife) always say "Hello" to each other whenever seeing each other in street. So, he doesn't need to look so surprised, you know... Well, he was smiling a bit, so he is forgiven.
