I'm a Presbyterian Buddhist (Joking, of course!)

Went to the church to attend the Sunday service for the first time in my whole life. No, I'm not converting to become a Christian. I was there to see my girls singing Christmas songs in the Junior Choir of the church. Had been quite nervous about attending until Saturday night.
S and I had to take my girls to the church 30 minutes earlier than usual. So, after leaving them in a small hall, we went in the big hall, sat down and chatted. Met the minister, who looked pleasantly surprised to see my face. (He remembered my name properly. Good.) And the elder of my district, who shook my hand and looked delighted as if witnessing the impossible... And some women introduced themselves to me as they are involved in the children's part in the church and know my girls.

Singing was lovely and I'm proud of my girls and all the other kids. And I must admit that I like listening to the minister speaking. He has a gift of speaking to the public. He looks and sounds as if he had been born to lead the congregation. Now I understand why many people have come back to the church after he took over the big job.

Everything went well and straight afterwards we went to S's house for dinner and spent the whole afternoon there. Oh, and I got a very nice compliment from a woman in the church. She knows my girls and when we first met, she told me that I looked too young to be a mother of my daughters. No wonder I was happy during the service.
