Went to the town with my big girl while my wee one was at her classmate's house. Quite many people in and out of shops. It's a holiday time and loads of sales, so. It's natural.
Walked around the town and ended up in a supermarket where there were loads of Christmas stuff being sold for half price. Yes, I bought some cards and decorations for the next year. And somehow one kind of ice cream (nothing festive) was at half price. So, I bought a carton, too.
Nipped in the bookshop/newsagent across the supermarket on the way home. And found the fist issue of the collection of Japanese anime DVDs for £2.99. Usual price for a DVD and magazine set is £8.99. Couldn't believe my eyes. The first issue's DVD was "Ghost in the Shell", which I had heard about before. So, I bought it. How could I miss this bargain! Later I mentioned it to Z and offered that he could have it after I watched it. So, if he pays half the cost, it means that it cost me only £1.50. Sounds brilliant. (Of course I won't let him pay. So, it will be a £2.99 second-hand gift.)
