Out of the town for a change

Visited our friends's house in the afternoon. Went out for a meal and then to a cinema (yes, for our kids).

Had smoked haddock with Hollandaise sauce with mash and veg. Yeah, rustic comfort food. Then, had coffee, and raspberry and white chocolate trifle. Lovely. I must make the same at home soon.

The film was alright, as I'm used to watch cartoons when kids are at home. It was "Barnyard". The story was alright, even though I was afraid of my wee one starting to cry when the father of the main character died in the middle of the film. (No, she didn't cry. She liked the film.) Only complaint: all the male cattle had udders and called themselves cows. Why? Why? Why? Cows are female, aren't they. Can't believe that people are making loads of money with stupid ideas. I must join them somehow...

MY friend, D, took away my hubby's CD and record collection, which I'm very grateful about. I have much more space in this room (where my computer is). If I make a bit more effort, this room won't look like a storeroom by Christmas. I must get a move on and get rid of unwanted stuff out of this room.
