Shopping in the rain

Had planned to go to the town centre for big clothes shopping for my girls. But modified the plan because I had been the receiving end of silly tantrums since yesterday evening to this morning. (Here are 2 girls, free for good home! Joking, of course.)

So, we went out with my stony face and I told my girls firmly that we would buy only a washing line (mine broke yesterday afternoon), a scrap book for my big girl's school project and 2 winter coats for school.

Yes, we came home with those items, plus an apple tart and 2 coconut finger buns from a bakery, of which we had cakes in a cafe part. And, most importantly, a box of vanilla-scented artificial petals (I, a serious vanilla addict, couldn't resist them. I must have them or I would die!!)

Quite happy with myself that I didn't give in my wee one's "Oh, I need this" "Oh, I'd like that" yapping during the shopping. And it's quite amazing that none of us moaned about the rain. We just put the hoods of our jacket and marched on. Girls are made tough for shopping!?
