Tonight's news on TV is all about the Republican double agent shot dead yesterday. When I watched the footage of him in front of a cottage by a newspaper reporter last month, I thought "He will be tracked down by the IRA soon". I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of this. I hate this artificially naive attitude of jounalists'. Started thinking that at least one of the reporting team was IRA/SinnFein member.
ITV news were interviewing some people on Falls Road. If those words were the voice of the community, the murderer(s) should be getting free drinks over there this week and there'll be street parties. No surprise, really. There's no sympathy for traitors in this country. Even though moving to this country after the IRA ceasefire started, I do understand their mentality. Completely different from one in Japan. Who in Japan would say confidently in front of a TV camera "He deserved it" if they hear about the murder of a Japanese double agent?
Laughed when Tony Blair was speaking to the news reporter about Northern Ireland. It seems that he is the only one who honestly believes whatever IRA/Sinn Fein says. I'm sure that he is deeply, madly in love with Gerry Adams and never forgets to send him Christmas + birthday cards. Please, somebody, tell him in his face that he is an Irish Republican, not the prime minister of the United kingdom!! I'm more British than he is!
