Special delivery

Went to a hair-cut this morning. Happy with the result. According to the hairdresser, my hair is very healthy. Surprise as I don't look after my hair. (I wash it, but I don't do anything special for it.)

After leaving the salon, I walked to the town centre. Suddenly a man in a parcel van waved at me and signalled me to come over. Yeah, I know him. He usually delivers parcels in my area. He pulled over and opened the door. No, no, I was not getting a lift home or a free cuppa. (I'm not that lucky and he is not my type.) He told me that my house was empty when he was there earlier and even my neighbour wasn't in. So, when he spotted me on a footpath, he stopped me right in the middle of the town and gave me a little parcel from my mum. Well, it saved him another journey. And it saved me phoning up the sorting office later on. Better than an ordinary door-to-door delivery, isn't it?
