Update No.2

Unbelievable. The engineer visited on Tuesday and told me what was wrong and what needed to be done. Then, BT, the company which employed him, did a completely different thing to solve the problem. Of course BT did the wrong thing (again!), and the internet still can't be connected at home. How dumb can they get???

So, I phoned them (again!) this morning, and told them what to do! And surprisingly they agreed to do it and even gave me an estimate time for the re-connection. (No, I'm not optimistic after more than 2 weeks of disappointment that they've given me.)

Maybe they started listening to me because I told them that I wouldn't pay the bill unless they fix the problem??? No wonder they are not making money nowadays.
