Creative writing for a change

Feeling tired but reasonably happy after finishing writing a piece of poem last night. I'm totally knackered. How did I managed to go for a grocery shopping this morning? I don't know.

I wrote this one based (mocked?) on "The Haulier's Wife Meets Jesus on the Road near Moone" by Paul Durcan. The initial idea came to me about a year ago. But I left it for a while. Then, I had a completely different new idea at the end of this April. I liked trying to write, but often being too lazy or too stressed to go on for a while. There's a line "I'm thirty-three years old" in the original. So, I was trying to finish it by my birthday this month. (yeah, I'm going to be 34 soon! Scary!!) I had thought that I wouldn't make it. But since I told about it to my friend, I had become determined to finish it. Then, last night miracle happened!

It is my longest creative writing so far. 3 pages and a bit in Microsoft Word (font size 12). And actually it doesn't look like poetry... Oh well, I write for fun, not for the snobby world of literature. So, who cares!
