Scary moment

It was another Saturday. Rained a bit for a change. Nice change. We did usual things except for going shopping. My wee one was on her bike all morning. After lunch she went out to call her friend. BUT later I got a phone call from the friend's mum saying that her child would like to play with my wee one... What? (My wee one should have come home first to tell me when she couldn't play with the girl, so that I would know where she would be. I always tell her to do so.)

I thanked the woman for the phone call and dashed out of the house to find my girl. Couldn't find her in the streets where she was allowed to play. It was drizzling and nobody was in sight. Thought of 1000 unpleasant things in a few second, which could have had happened to my wee one. Also remembered that her father used to make me worried because I often didn't know where he was exactly in the town and when he would come back. With his ill-health, it was easy to imagine the worst whenever he didn't come home by the time he had said he would, which happened very often.

Found my wee one with her older friend, near the friend's house a few street away. It was the place she shouldn't play without my consent. How could she do this to me?? I shouted her over and she instantly realised that she was in a biiiiiiig trouble. (I must have looked very scary.) I took her home, having a go at her fiercely without toning down my voice. I coulnd't care less whatever my nieghbours were thinking of me.

Now she is grounded until further notice. Good thing is that she was safe and she is truly sorry. She now understand why and how much I would worry about her. I must make her avoid the older friend somehow. Since she started playing with the friend, she has become bit sneaky to me and has almost forgotten to tell me her whereabout several times, which I'm not happy about.
